Career Choice

Denise Chrisman

Introduce girls to various careers they may wish to pursue. Review traditional careers for women vs. non-traditional. Compare salaries as well as hours involved and education.

There are excellent web sites to explore. Start with the U.S. Department of Labor: www.dol.gov. Go to The Occupational Outlook Handbook. This will give her information regarding careers, salaries, and the outlook for a particular career.

Stress to her the significance of Education.

The less education a person has results in lower wages and higher unemployment.
