Community Involvement

Strong communities serve as a protective factor for girls. Getting girls and their families involved within their communities helps to strengthen them. When girls are familiar with their community and become involved in activities, they may begin to develop a sense a pride not only in their community but also themselves. Both the girls and the community benefit from involvement.
