www.girlscircle.com

The objective of this activity is to help the girls recognize what qualities are important in a role model and to honor their role model.

Materials needed: blank stationary or card paper, markers, colored pencils, ribbon, ink, stamps, scissors, and glue.

  1. Make cards by decorating blank stationary. Decorate the cards with markers, colored pencils, stamps, etc.

  2. Directions:

    a. Choose a female role model in your life.
    b. Write a letter to her explaining why she is important to you. If possible, mail the letter to her.

  3. Discuss the letter with the girls. Discuss:
  • Why is she important to you?
  • Why is it important to tell people positive things?
  • Is it hard to tell people they are important to you? Why?
