Guided Journaling

Denise Chrisman

Guided journaling is similar to traditional journaling. The difference is that topics are selected in the form of a question or a set of questions for the participants to consider and write on in their journals. This approach encourages both reflection and an opportunity to internalize concepts presented.

There are many books available to help with journaling and guided journaling. These books are designed to help organize thoughts with questions as well as concepts to consider. Some are serious and some are simply fun.

  • Sark's Play Book by Sark

  • Chicken Soup For The Teenage Soul Journal by Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hansen, and Kimberly Kirberger

  • Taste Berries For Teens Journal by Bettie B. Youngs and Jennifer Leigh Youngs

  • Don't Give It Away by Iyanla VanZant
