North Carolina Safe Schools Tip Line
lines
The North Carolina Safe Schools Tip Line was one of the top action items of the 1999 Governor’s Task Force on youth Violence and School Safety and became operational on February 10, 2000. The North Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention – Center for the Prevention of School Violence (NCDJJDP – Center), in conjunction with Global Compliance Services, provides this toll-free 24 hour, seven-day-a-week tip line to provide an outlet for students, parents, and community members to share their school safety concerns. The tip line is anonymous and urges students to take responsibility of their personal safety as well as the safety of others.
